So what does this cooking photo have to do with pregnancy hormones? Let me tell you…
During Christmas week, I had the opportunity to catch up on my “shows” and watched the latest episode of Top Chef from my DVR queue. It was called the “12 Days of Christmas” episode and the chefs’ elimination challenge was to cater for 200-300 people. Long story short, one of the refrigerators didn’t shut all the way, so food had been sitting in a warm fridge overnight. The next day, two chefs’ dishes were found to be spoiled, therefore unable to be served. From previous episodes, the contestants would usually be so competitive that they would have left the others to deal with their own problems. It is a competition after all. But to my surprise, all the chefs put their dishes on hold, and rolled up their sleeves to help their fellow contestants back in the game.
Seeing the acts of kindness given by all the chefs didn’t just make me teary-eyed. It had me sobbing and crying like a blubbering fool! I mean, I had tears streaming down my face AND gasping for breath. What the heck?! This doesn’t usually happen to me. Really now. I think the last time I got teary-eyed over a TV show was when Bret Michaels picked Ambre over Daisy in “Rock of Love.” Okay, so maybe I do get a little emotional when watching TV, but bawling my eyes out?! I’d have to say, I can only blame that on pregnancy hormones.
I watched it again, and it made me cry again!
