Sweetie and I were in freezing cold New York City this past weekend. Brrrrrr! Wow, I really don’t know how people survive in those kind of temperatures. We got to walk around in a beautiful snowfall on Saturday afternoon, though…the kind of snowfall so soft and thick and heavy that when it falls on your face, it feels as if the big flakes are caressing you. It was enchanting. Further enchantment was waiting for us when we tucked into warm and welcoming Granny-Made at 381 Amsterdam Avenue.

I saw this happen over and over again with other customers in the store. We all admired each others’ purchases and marveled at the variety of offerings at Granny-Made. Ruthie (a huge talent in sweater design!) was also there and added to the conviviality. And of course, Gracie, Michael’s 6 year old Havanese was there orchestrating the whole show. (more…)
