by a pair of soaring wings, leopard prints and sweatshirts that look like actual leopards (complete with tails!)   This “dress-like-your-toddler” trend is being shown by other designers as well. Marc Jacobs, Peter Jensen, Lu Flux, Jean-Charles Castelbajac, and many more are surfacing with the most whimsical collections imaginable this Fall.

In today’s world kids are dressed to look like little versions of their parents. But, in the world of Jeremy Scott parents can dress like a big version of their kids!  Be fashionable – dress like a kid!

Sunday night our now FAMOUS photographer, Marcy Maloy, made her debut on The Amazing Race on CBS! I had such a great time watching and rooting for someone I personally know, it added a completely new and exhilarating dimension to a show that already puts me on the edge of my seat – I loved it!

Their first challenge was participating as contestants on a fictional “Japanese Game Show” in the center of Tokyo, Japan.  Marcy chose Ron, her partner, to scarf down a “Wasabi Bomb”, a seaweed wrapped cone filled with rice and about a 1/3 cup of straight wasabi!  To proceed in the challenge he had only 2 minutes to finish the “Wasabi Bomb”, but unlike some of the other contestants, he finished the first time around!!!  WAY TO GO RON!  Once they accomplished this task Ron and Marcy had to lead their assigned crowd of fans through Tokyo. Watching Marcy lead 20 Japanese Tourists reminded me of watching her work a photo shoot – full of energy, playing her harmonica and firing out directions.  I couldn’t help but yell at her through the screen- “Run Marcy RUN!!!!!” They finished the first leg of the race in 4th place!  WAY TO GO!!!!

Sunday night was the season premiere, a special two hour episode, so the program continued with the second leg of The Amazing Race, which took Marcy and Ron to Vietnam!  Marcy did a remarkable job of rounding up a gaggle of lively duckies and guiding them into a pen, but we all know that this is second nature to Marcy as she is always rounding up our “little duckies” to photograph!  In light of this great accomplishment, we couldn’t help but to reveal a sneak peak of our Spring 2010 Daisy Ducks Collection!

Stay tuned for more sneak peaks of the le•top spring 2010 line and Marcy and Ron’s adventures on The Amazing Race every Sunday night at 8:00 p.m.!

Ellen Pompeo, 39, and husband Chris Ivery welcomed a daughter, Stella Luna Pompeo Ivery, on Sept. 15 in Los Angeles, her rep confirms to PEOPLE.  Ellen and Chris married in 2007 and announced they were expecting in April.  In an interview with Allure in 2008 Ellen had this to say about motherhood, “It’s a huge lifestyle change, and I take it very seriously.”

Why the ‘name change for the show?  There’s been quite the baby boom on the Grey’s set – costar Katherine Heigl recently adopted a daughter, 10-month-old Naleigh, while Chyler Leigh is also a new mom to daughter Anniston Kae, 4 months.

Congratulations to Ellen and Chris and ALL the new parents of Grey’s Anatomy!  This set should be a fun place – especially if everyone brings their baby to work!  All of us at le•top are excited about their baby boom!

Adding you favorite herb-flavored cream cheese from your local market or bagel shop makes this burger a breeze to make and oh so tasty. Use a specialty bun for that gourmet touch. The only essential thing when stuffing a burger with cheese is to make sure that the edges are sealed well, to keep the cheese from leaking out during cooking.

Makes 6 servingsthumbnail1
Total Time: 20 min.

 INGREDIENTS:

  • 2 pounds ground beef chuck, 85% lean
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 3 tablespoons herbed garlic cream   cheese, such as Boursin
  • Oil for coating grill grate
  • 6 hamburger buns, split

DIRECTIONS:
Using your hands, mix the beef, garlic, salt, and pepper in a bowl until well blended; do not overmix. Using a light touch, form into 12 patties no more than 1/2 inch thick.

Put a portion (about 1 1/2 teaspoons) of cheese in the center of each of 6 patties; top with the remaining patties and press together, taking care to seal the edges well.
Refrigerate the burgers until the grill is ready. Brush the grill grate and coat it with oil. Put the burgers on the grill, cover, and cook for 9 minutes, flipping after 5 minutes, for medium-done (150 degrees F, slightly pink). Add a minute per side for well-done (160 degrees F).
To toast the buns, put them cut sides down directly over the fire for the last minute of cooking. If serving the burgers directly from the grill, serve on the buns. If the burgers will sit, even for a few minutes, keep the buns and burgers separate until just before eating.

Alexa, Jackie's Inspiration, Wearing Butterfly Wishes from Spring 2009

Jackie’s daughter Alexa spends her days with mommy, very fitting since the name of the store was inspired by one of her cute baby poses.  Jackie told us that “she always slept with her little bum in the air, sucking on her pink binky.”  The store logo was inspired by this sweet and innocent vision.  Jackie has created the atmosphere she herself dreamed of finding – the store is beautiful, warm and inviting.  Her customers love the exceptional customer service, the inviting ambiance and the large play area for children.

Jackie loves watching the reaction of new mothers who come into the store – “Aw!” –  their expression of excitement when they realize they have found that ‘special place’ that has everything to welcome their precious newcomer!  Jackie feels that her store is the perfect place for “everyone” – and through her website anyone can enjoy all the warmth that she has poured into this wonderful boutique.  One customer writes:

I love it! Warm, happy environment. Great play area for kids. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Finally, a baby store that makes me feel special! ‎”

On Saturday Sarah Michelle Gellar gave birth to baby girl Charlotte Grace Prinze.  The 32-year-old star of “Buffy” and her 33-year-old husband Freddy Prinze Jr. (both stars in Scooby-Doo) are now proud parents to their first baby. A representative for Gellar told People that “The family is over the moon.”

The couple met on the set of “I know what you did last summer” in 1997 and after 2 years of dating they wed in 2002.

In an interview with Access Hollywood, before announcing her pregnancy in April, she explained why she felt it was important to wait for the right time to start a family.  “When we do have children, my husband and I will have such a strong foundation because we’ve given our relationship time to grow, I try to go into everything with and open mind, but it’s much more than I thought it would be. The partnership grows to such a different level. And all my life it was just my mom and me, us against the world; so to let someone else in and to have another partner was hard for me.  Now he’s my partner, my best friend, and my husband.”

I’m so happy for her; it’s extraordinary,” her former Buffy the Vampire Slayer costar Michelle Trachtenberg told Us around the time her pregnancy was announced. “She’s going to make a great mommy. They’re going to be extraordinary parents.”

Congratulations to the new family and we wish them the very best of luck on their new journey as parents!
