We hear that celebrity chef, Jamie Oliver’s wife, Jules Oliver is prego with her fourth child due this September.   We have a hunch that the new baby will be another to support and join forces in Oliver’s “Food Revolution.”

What revolution?

“The impassioned chef, TV personality and best-selling author is determined to take on the high statistics of obesity, heart disease and diabetes in the US, where the nation’s children are the first generation not expected to live as long as their parents. Oliver is inviting viewers to take a stand and change the way America eats, in home kitchens, schools and workplaces, with the thought-provoking new series, “Jamie Oliver’s Food Revolution,” that debuted Friday, March 26 (9:00-10:00 p.m., ET) on the ABC Television Network.” – jamieoliver.com

In the series, Jamie goes to Huntington, West Virginia (referred to as one of the most unhealthy cities in America) to inspire locals and create a chain reaction towards healthy eating across the country.

Tell us what YOU think would be your top healthy meal choice if your baby daddy was Jamie Oliver – we would love to hear from you!

27 year actress Leelee Sobieski, nominated for an Emmy for her performance in the mini-series Joan of Arc (1999), and her fashion designer fiancé, Adam Kimmel, are expecting their first baby.  A representative of Leelee’s has confirmed the news and also said that the couple is “thrilled” to welcome their first child in December.

Leelee is experiencing plenty of cravings with this first pregnancy and has a theory – “I think I like eating what little kids eat,” Sobieski told PEOPLE at the season opening of the Metropolitan Opera on Monday in New York City.  Chowing down frequently on macaroni and cheese, Sobieski, 27, says that she is preparing for the baby by doing two things: relaxing and eating lots of ice cream.

Leelee appeared in this summer’s Public Enemies (alongside Johnny Depp), modeled for her fiancés Fall/Winter 2009 look book, and will be starring in the indie drama Mad Cow opposite Arrested Development‘s Jeffrey Tambor.

All of us at le•top wish you congratulations on your upcoming new addition! We love ice cream too!

As of this moment, I know 10 women who are pregnant – all due at different times of the year. These are people I actually know, not just celebrities and their pregnancies. I remember a couple of years ago, I knew 14 women who were expecting! That’s a lot of babies. And a whole lot of baby showers! And then the birthday parties! (And we don’t need to mention all those diaper changes, clothing changes and laundry, right?) 😉

So it got me thinking, could it be something in the water? Or is it a cyclical pattern that women get pregnant every so often? Or is it, perhaps, that I’m just at a phase in my life when almost everyone in my age group is moving on to the next phase of life? Whatever it is, it’s quite amazing that I know so many women who will be giving birth and holding a new bundle of joy within the year.

Congratulations to all my family and friends!

Just for fun, here’s my list:

  1. Kisha – Due June 2009
  2. Anya – Due June 2009
  3. Jessica – Due August 2009
  4. Minnie – Due August 2009
  5. Abbie – Due August 2009
  6. Ana – Due September 2009
  7. Kimmy – Due October 2009
  8. Lisa – Due October 2009
  9. Christine – Due October 2009

I was reading a blog entry about Maya Rudolph gaining 70 pounds with her first pregnancy. And I’m thinking, “OMG! That’s a lot of weight.” But I don’t think it’s completely out of the ordinary. A lot of my mommy friends gained around 50 pounds, and some up to 100 pounds. And these women are small and petite.

When I was pregnant (both times), my doctor suggested that I gain no more than 25 pounds. The first time around, I said, “Sure, no problem.” But as the pregnancy progressed, my total weight gain was around 35-40 pounds. It wasn’t like I pigged out on everything, nor was I “eating for two.” But I definitely couldn’t control my weight gain. With my second pregnancy (since I had gestational diabetes), I was put on a low-carb, no sugar diet, and I followed this diet to a T for the health and well-being of my unborn child. Trust me. It was HARD not to give in to my cravings. Yet, I still gained about 30 pounds. My point is, whether I followed a nutritional diet or not, I still gained over the recommended 25 pounds.

Just out of curiosity, how much weight did you gain?
