Sweetie decided that an intervention was in order…to give me a break from blogging (I think he’s a teeny tiny bit jealous…). So we’re in beautiful, warm Kauai, where I’m sneaking in this post (shshshshshsh!! be vewy, vewy quiet, and maybe sweetie won’t notice..!). I just had to share this photo of Santa greeting us when we arrived!

Hong Kong Light Show – PartII
Posted in Displays, tagged Holidays, Hong Kong, Travel on December 9, 2008| 4 Comments »
Okay, I just had to share this photo with you! Last night we were driving past one of the hotels in Hong Kong and they did these amazing lights on the trees out front! I had never seen this effect – the lights are shimmery blue – and they covered the trees and the ground underneath them. Some how it just felt magical! I was not the only awestruck passer-by; there was a crowd of people admiring the effect. Sorry the photo is a bit blurry – this is from the i-phone! I cannot wait to get home, sometime next week, and take in all the lights in San Francisco – we put on a pretty good show there as well!
NEW CONTEST: Your Favorite Holiday Display

I love seeing cute, dainty sweaters adorned with little snowmen, with the entire window sprinkled in snow. Living in Northern California, I rarely see snow unless I drive to Tahoe, so it’s always a special treat to see the white feathery flurries of snowflakes – even if they are fake. (more…)
