This dynamic duo, twins Raegan and Brooke, are one-year-old today! A big Happy Birthday to you girls! This photo is from their first sitting with Santa. Mom says, “Raegan (on the right) wasn’t psyched about what she saw, but Brooke held it together pretty well.” It’s a fabulous photo and your daughters are lovely.

Congratulations to Raegan and Brooke for being the Le Top Darlings of the Day!

Here is a precious picture of today’s darlings, Benjamin (1-1/2 years-old) and Olivia (4-1/2 years-old). We’re told that despite Olivia’s best efforts Benjamin decided he wasn’t interested in sitting on Santa’s lap. Isn’t that always the way it works out! Never fear Olivia, we still think you two look as cute-as-can-be in your Le Top holiday outfits. Benjamin is sporting a shirt from the “Santa’s Best Friend” collection and Olivia is the perfect model for our “Reindeer Games” collection dress and polka dot tights.

Congratulations to this pair on being named the Le Top Darlings of the Day!

Here are today’s Darlings, Tyson and Tanner (13-months-old), at their first meeting with Santa. This is such a classic photo and absolutely amazing that they cooperated SO well. Let’s hope it’s a sign of things to come! These brothers were born 4.6lbs and 4.9lbs and spent the first three weeks of their life in the NICU though they are obviously doing great now! Congrats mom and dad on your handsome boys.

Cheers to Tyson and Tanner on your title of Le Top Darlings of the Day!

We will pick 2 winners – one will be for the cutest Santa picture with your child(ren) and the other will be for the funniest “I’m scared of” Santa photo with your child(ren). Submit your pictures – dead is Friday, December 16th. (A little blurb about the pic would be great too!)

We will choose our winners (at random) who will win a $100 shopping spree from our Le Top online boutique – www.letop-usa.com. The lucky winner will be announced on Friday, December 16th.

So, where to send these photos?

Miranda is wearing a dress and faux fur hat from the 2010 Let It Snow winter collection. Paulo is wearing a shirt from the 2009 Frosty Friends winter collection.

After reading Melissa’s post about kids being scared of Santa, I thought it would be funny to post my kids’ Santa photos this year. There’s something about “crying-babies-with-Santa” pictures that I find so endearing and hilarious. I have one of myself crying, and I have one of my daughter crying. This year, I have one of my son crying. I guess it’s become tradition now. What made this photo moment even more hilarious for me is that Paulo wouldn’t just sit there and cry it out, he actually tried to escape. More than once! Poor Santa. He broke a sweat with my boy. I wonder if Paulo will be on his naughty list.

How do you handle a child who is afraid of Santa Claus…or namely sitting on ‘ole Saint Nick’s lap?

It’s a wonderment when I see some parents forcing their child to sit in Santa’s lap…there is something in the holiday commercialism air that changes a parent’s tune of what a child ‘shouldn’t’ be scared of. It’s almost like a right of passage for a child – ha, ha. However, in all reality, it is a big deal for many parents to get the perfect holiday photo with Santa – even if their child is kicking and screaming. So how do you deal with this problem of fearing the jolly red man? Here are some tips if a child refuses:

No, I did NOT say that!

No, I did NOT say that!

My friend, Stephanie’s daughter came home from school and told her mother that some kids at school say that Santa is really your parents putting presents under the tree after you go to sleep. Her reply to her friends are,

I don’t think so because my Dad goes to bed early, AND Santa brings me stuff my mom would NEVER get me, like a Bratz doll that you can put make-up on.”

Paulo and Miranda in le•top's 2009 Deck The Halls Collection

It’s that time of year to visit Jolly Ol’ St. Nick and hopefully get a great snapshot of your children as they whisper to him what they want for Christmas. This year, Miranda asked for books. Books? Yes, she seriously asked for books. She’s so practical—even Santa Claus was in shock! (Last year she asked for clothes, and she most certainly received tons of beautiful clothes from a special Santa.) As for Paulo, this is his first Christmas and first photo with Santa. I was hoping to see some tears or a hint of fear in his eyes, but he sat comfortably on Santa’s lap without a care in the world. If he could talk and tell Santa what he wants for Christmas, he would probably ask for a shoe to chew on or an electrical outlet he can poke at because Mommy won’t let him near these things.
