Avoid the back-to-school mayhem entirely. Schedule time with each of your children to cybershop – most stores will save the contents of your shopping cart for a few days (like Le Top!); then you can go back and revise according to your budget when all the kids are done. Be Careful
Make sure the sites for the online stores you’re using are secure.  Know the privacy policies of each online store before you give them your credit card number.  Look for something in the site’s privacy policy or payments FAQ that talks about what kind of encryption the company uses to protect your information.  SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption is the industry standard and ensures that your credit card and personal information are transmitted in a way that no third party can decipher.

Know What You’re Buying
Sometimes the ease of shopping online means that you sacrifice being able to actually see/touch/try on the item.  Look for online stores that have high resolution images of the item, list the fabric content, have care instructions and size charts for their items.  Also keep an eye out for easy return policies.  That way there’s a pretty good chance that when the item arrives at your house, it’s exactly what you expected, but if it isn’t, it’s not a big deal to return.
