Le Top Chef Series: Orange Creamsicle Jello

A refreshing summer recipe that is a hit with kids of all ages and adults too!  Thank you Linda for passing this family favorite on to us.

INGREDIENTS:

• 1 large package orange Jello gelatin
• 2 cups water
• 2 cups vanilla ice cream
• ¾ cup orange juice (low or no pulp)

DIRECTIONS:

1. Pour Jello into a large bowl.
2. Boil water and add to Jello and dissolve.
3. Soften the ice cream (put into microwave on defrost for 2 minutes).
4. Add softened ice cream to Jello and stir until completely dissolved.
5. Add orange juice and mix well.
6. Pour into Jello mold, large clear glass bowl, or separate serving cups.

Chill for 3-4 hours. Then serve as part of your meal or as a dessert.
