With summer right around the corner and the kids getting out of school soon, most families are probably starting to make their summer plans. This summer, make staying close to home fun, and take the kids out to a ball game! Many of the Major League Baseball teams have fun activities for the families with very cool giveaways for the kids, and some parks have very reasonably-priced tickets and specials.

I’ll be back on Wednesday to talk about my favorite team, the Oakland A’s! Meanwhile, we welcome your comments about your favorite teams and photos of family fun at ball games in your area (click here to upload).
The Mariner’s are one of my Top “love to hate ’em” Teams! My dad has a co-worker/really good friend who is from Seattle (area). When I was about 10, Dave came down to the bay area one night and he and my dad took me to a Mariner’s v. A’s game. I gave Dave so much hell about the Mariner’s…and the A’s won…so he never heard the end of it! To this day when I see Dave I taunt him about how the Mariner’s stink and the A’s rule….and when we lose to the Mariner’s…I am no where to be seen! LOL!
I recently went to Seattle, and took the bus from the airport that went (almost) underneath the Safeco Field. And my mom kept reading “Safeco” – not as in “Safeway” – but as in “Sah-feee-ko” with a heavy Russian accent, it was quite funny!
