You go on a road trip with a little one, and you will hear these infamous words, “Are we there yet? Are we there yet?” over and over, to the point that you yourself want to be there as soon as humanly possible because it’s so annoying to hear that question when you still have 3 more hours to go. This time, the words I hear are,
Is the baby here yet? Is the baby ready to come out?“
Now, that’s not annoying at all to hear. In fact, they’re my sentiments exactly! I wake up each morning, wondering if today is the day. We are all so anxious here at home, especially my daughter. At this point, I don’t think she cares anymore if she’s having a brother or a sister (she really wants a sister!). She just wants to meet her new sibling and be a BIG sister.
I don’t know about anyone else, but I find this nerve-wracking! On the other hand…I did guess for an arrival date of 24March, so we’ll have to wait until tomorrow! 😉
When Erin T. was told that her baby would come early… like two weeks possibly, I couldn’t sleep at all! I was the start of the phone tree and I didn’t want to miss that call. Needless to say that little Emma came two days LATE and during the early evening…so I didn’t need to loose sleep over it after all!
Now we are just waiting on Sara L.’s little girl to get here…2 days until her due date and if she is anything like Erin T. I won’t be holding my breath! haha! Good luck Jamee! For your sake I hope that baby gets here soon!
Since I get a little ‘grumpy’ at times 🙂 I was ready to kill the next person who asked me “Haven’t you had that baby yet???” Uh, yeah…I had the baby and just decided to go around looking like I have a watermelon under my shirt! Of course sarcasm does not help – so you just grit your teeth and say, “Any time now!” Good luck Jamee!
For the sake of commenting and letting people know… I’m still here… pregnant… and waiting. No contractions yet.
