lianaatgrphs…as reported by: proud mama, Lisa (of Liana Hunt and owner of Vermont’s Yellow Turtle)

I’m late in sending reports – but better late than never! Opening night (Feb.27th) was so FABULOUS!! Liana opens the show by herself, and that was just an incredible moment in time…I cried (and cried!) and couldn’t see anything for about the first 15 minutes of the performance!! The people of Kentucky were so wonderful — the friendliest town imaginable. Liana is now en route to Davenport, IA. She has already been to Lexington, KY, Paducah, KY, Bloomington, IN, & Duluth, MN. What a schedule for just 2 weeks! Now they will spend more time in each location as soon as they get to Palm Desert on Monday. Liana has been through the absolute worst weather, so hopefully that will also change on Monday. She reported that the audiences in Duluth had fantastic spirit! Life on the road takes some getting used to for sure. She misses home cooking! A group of wonderful people in Lexington hosted them to a Southern home-cooked meal in a local Baptist Church, though, and I had the pleasure of attending and can say that: I ate the best Bourbon Bread Pudding in the universe!!! Thanks to them!!!lianacncssn

med_picI am extremely tired and exhausted. And it’s not from nesting. It’s from carrying my gigantic belly, keeping my glucose levels down, and from not sleeping. I’m SO done with this pregnancy that I can’t stand it. I don’t want to sleep because it’s uncomfortable, and I get carpal tunnel. I wake up with numb, painful fingers. Plus, I have to pee at least twice a night.

As for the gestational diabetes diet, I’m SO done with it! I don’t want to take my medication and wait an hour before eating. I don’t want to think about what I’m eating. I don’t want to schedule my eating and schedule everything around my eating. I’m tired of checking my glucose levels an hour after I eat. AND, I’m tired of going to the hospital twice a week for non-stress tests. I’m tired of seeing my nutritionist every couple of weeks to prove to her that I’m not cheating on my diet. I just want to live blissfully, eat heartily, and be happy. (Is that too much to ask? Give a pregnant woman a break!)

I have, at the most, two more weeks left and that doesn’t seem to be passing quickly enough. Ughh… I need to stop complaining. Most likely, I’ll be complaining about something new after the baby arrives. 🙂

taj_mahal_in_march_2004This week we are dreaming of India!  This fantastic deal is really hard to resist since India is one place my husband and I and another couple have been talking about going to for the past year. We have been watching movies (Slumdog Millionaire, Bride and Prejudice and Water), doing a little Google earthing, eating Indian food (mmm- we love Indian food), and doing some research on the best places to visit like the Taj Mahal, the back waters of Kerala, and the Goa beaches along the Arabian sea. There is so much that is untold about India that we would love to explore and discover the country. But for now, it is only a dream.

$999 — India Tour Package incl. Air (Regularly $2199)
