Emma's "nest" (with a detail of wall stencil). Emma's daddy did a great job painting the walls!
A few weeks ago, I wrote about my friend Erin T., who was in the nesting stages of her pregnancy. Well, she is done nesting and into motherhood — she delivered little Emma Grace last week! Erin’s nesting phase came in really handy because, as you can imagine, she’s been busy utilizing her “nested” nursery for multiple diaper changes, wardrobe changes and much, much more! We wanted to share some photos of the new room she and her husband created, so you could see what the finished product looks like. I love the pink and brown color scheme, and it is proving to be a big theme for girls recently, as a couple of other friends have chosen the same color combination for their upcoming girl’s room/nursery.
What color scheme did you pick out for your son’s or daughter’s nursery/room? We’d love to see the results of your nesting creations! Click here to upload your photos.
I really am so impressed with the walls!
Beautiful! Okay, so my older daughter Betsy (my original ‘baby’) was born very early in the 70’s. Boy, have we come a LONG way style-wise for babies! Her nursery was Avocado Green with orange and yellow flowers! Very current at the time, but just awful! Today’s colors and styles make me happy to be making baby clothes in this day and age!
This is beautiful! I’ve never had a proper baby nursery, I don’t know if I ever will but it seems like it would be really fun!
I just love the striping effect that they did with the brown paint. Next time I get ambitious I think I am going to do that in my bathroom, to spruce it up a bit!
How lovely!!! I love decor. I wish we had an extra room for our daughter. Currently, we have our lovely…3rd room / office/ extra storage / playroom / and anything that fits in there room.
I am so proud of Sean for sticking with me through my crazy ideas. I love the way it turned out and how warm it feels with the brown.
