Located in South Lake Tahoe and Truckee
I went to South Lake Tahoe with my family for the weekend to enjoy some fun in the snow before the arrival of our next baby. Before we left, I decided to go on Le Top’s store locator just to see if there was a le•top retailer in town. I was delighted to have found a children’s store called “The Treehouse.” I didn’t really know if I would be able to visit the store since I was there with three other families (yes, three), but I’m so glad I found time! While the kids were playing at the cabin with the dads watching over them, my sister-in-law and I were able to escape to do some shopping.
The Treehouse is located at 1001 Heavenly Village Way, #31, in the snazzy and hip Heavenly Village Shopping Center where skiers go to catch the gondola to the Heavenly slopes, and where lots of shoppers and moviegoers frequent. This children’s clothing (and more) store is fabulous! It is a complete one-stop children’s shop in the heart of South Lake Tahoe. The Treehouse carries a wide variety of children’s apparel for boys and girls – all reasonably priced – from play clothes to pajamas, swim suits to snow gear, costumes, baby clothes, shoes/boots, toys, etc. You name it, chances are, they’ve got it! They have quite a selection of Le Top clothes (size 0 to 6X), a select number rabbitmoon collections, and a some layette items for baby.
There is another Treehouse store which has been in operations for 29 years! They are located at 10104 Donner Pass Road in Truckee, and also carry a vast selection of Le Top and rabbitmoon baby and children’s fashion.

letop's Twinkle Faux Fur Coat
I had a chance to speak to Judy, one of the sales people, who couldn’t stop talking about how wonderful their stores are. And they truly are! “We have a lot of repeat customers. le•top is our top selling clothing line and is very popular with grandmothers.” I personally witnessed THAT during my visit. The customers definitely knew the store and felt at ease with Judy. One of the shoppers even said, “I wish my mother was here to buy this gorgeous coat* for her granddaughter. She’d buy it in a second!” (*She was referring to Le Top’s Twinkle Faux Fur coat, and the mother did purchase it.)
The Treehouse stores are owned by Lindy Kramer. Although I was only able to speak to her by phone, Lindy is very warm, friendly and welcoming, as if she was standing right next to me showing me her store. She prides herself on delivering excellent customer service, ensuring that even if she wasn’t personally at the store, that you would receive quality service. She currently is working on The Treehouse website that will have more information about their stores. It will feature a custom buying service where customers will have the opportunity to have a personal shopper help them find the perfect baby shower present or a birthday gift for a special little guy or girl in mind.
As a mother, I appreciate a store like The Treehouse, especially when I’m on vacation and I tend to forget something crucial like mittens or tights, or even a bathing suit during winter! If you ever find that you forgot something for your child during your weekend getaway in Tahoe, stop by The Treehouse and you’ll be sure to find what you’re looking for.
Right off the bat, I just love the name of this store. Evocative of childhood forts, hideouts and…treehouses! Very fun.
That coat is just magnificent! The hand feel of the fabric is just to die for! I want one in my size!
That coat is the perfect weight too. Not too big and bulky. It’s an everyday kids coat.
I have visited both of the Treehouse locations and Lindy really connects with each of the communities, buying the best merchandise for each location. I visit the South Lake Tahoe store often and enjoy listening to the rave reviews about her store and especially her selection of le top!
