Santa welcomes travelers to Lihue

Santa welcomes travelers to Lihue

So we’re in beautiful, warm Kauai, where I’m sneaking in this post (shshshshshsh!! be vewy, vewy quiet, and maybe sweetie won’t notice..!). Good Airport Food?!?

DFW airport

We had a non-eventful flight out of SFO yesterday. The only remote concern was the queue of drop off cars, and the long lines both inside and at curbside check-in. Both sweetie and I share the same propensity to get to the airport with just the bare minimum amount of time to spare, so there was a moment or two of “uh-oh”. Well, despite the longs lines, we got through check-in and security with surprising speed. Whew! But then…our flight was delayed! Not so bad because it gave us time to grab some breakfast. For all of you taking to the airports this holiday season and experiencing delays, here’s a list of “good” places to eat at some of the major airports in the U.S. I know, it seems like a contradiction in terms, but this list comes from a pretty reliable journalist, Matt Gross, who writes a travel column for the NYTimes. To find the Taxi assembly break room, leave the airport via the northern baggage-claim exits, turn left, walk down left side of the road and under the overpass.
