Holiday Window Display Prize for Store Owner of Photo Contest

Holiday Window Display Prize for Store Owner of Photo Contest

Yes…actually, this editor admits in the affirmative to Chris’ question about running around in circles this holiday season! Mea Culpa. Exhibit One of my crazed state: When we first announced our Holiday Window Display Photo Contest, we (okay, I) neglected to mention ALL the prizes being offered for the winning photo submission. Here’s the real deal…the person submitting the winning photo wins the $20 Starbucks gift card, but what I neglected to mention (and tell Jamee) is that the store owner also wins a prize for ALL their hard work: they win this le•top giveaway basket (with a retail value of $260!). Store owners might use this to do their own giveaway contest…so maybe you’ll win twice! Everyone at le•top has been gently nudging me about this prize omission, but I, um, wasn’t really paying attention (too much eggnog and Bailey’s many long hours working perhaps?) until now. So…in my very humble attempt to compensate for this little error, I’m extending the contest a few more days. Please take holiday window photos of your favorite store carrying le•top baby and children’s clothes as you do your last minute holiday shopping, and as you scoop up some bargains after Christmas! Just give us your name, the name of the store, and the city the store is located when you submit your photo. Last day for entries will now be January 4th. The winning photo will be announced on Monday, January 5th. Please enter to help me regain some dignity win!

That dress is too adorable, and I commented how unfortunate it was that my daughter didn’t fit in le•top clothes anymore, especially since she’s above average in height for a 4-year-old. I really thought Miranda was too tall for the dress. Boy, was I wrong! And what a great way to find out! Because a few days after posting that comment… (more…)

My cousin recently emailed me the good news that she is pregnant. She had her first visit with her doctor and had an ultrasound. She wrote:

I would ask Roger to scan the ultrasound picture and send it to you guys but he’s carrying it around and looking at it every five minutes.

ultraWhat an endearing story about her husband! It makes me giddy just thinking about it. So I sit here now trying to recall my husband’s reaction when we found out we were pregnant the first time. We were definitely both in shock because we didn’t realize that it would happen so fast. We were anxious to see the doctor, but I think we had to wait until we were 8 or 9 weeks pregnant. It’s so frustrating because as “newbies,” we just didn’t know what to do with ourselves. And there were just so many questions: Am I really pregnant? Do we tell our friends and family? Do we keep quiet? Oh, no… I just had a pitcher of margaritas last night! Will that affect the baby?!
