I love clothes. My daughter loves clothes. She likes to get them dirty, and I like to keep them clean and stain-free, especially when they’re not her typical play clothes. A couple of nights ago, we ate at an Italian restaurant, and my daughter had spaghetti with meatballs. I’m sure you can imagine what happened next. As she stabbed her fork into a piece of meatball and proceeded to put the fork in her mouth, a little morsel of meatball and tomato sauce fell off the fork and rolled down the front of her Flower Power sweater, then landed on her jeans.
My first thought (after “ACK!”) was, I’m never going to get that red sauce off! I went home and tried my usual stain fighting spray, let it sit, then threw it in the wash. Guess what? It didn’t come off.
Kristin (from le•top) suggested Soilove.
“My favorite stain fighter is a sleepy little bottle, usually found on the very top shelf at the grocery store. It is called Soilove and comes in a seafoam green bottle. It looks very generic, but fights stuck-on-stains like a real Goliath! It has gotten exploded permanent ink out of jeans, blood out of sweaters, and much much more. I swear by this product! Even if something has been washed and dried, I can still apply this product on the stain, scrub with a toothbrush, and throw it back in the washer. The stain will disappear!”
I have yet to try it, but this miracle stain remover is on my shopping list! I would love to hear other recommendations our readers have. Please comment below and send us your tried-and-true stain busters.
I spill so much that my boyfriend says he is amazed that I still get surprised when it happens! So you can only imagine how many stain removal tricks I have up my sleeve. My tip would be to head to the fridge! Vinegar, lemon juice, and baking soda are all life savers.
